St Joseph's Convent Primary School celebrates Republic Day with Great fervour and enthusiasm.January 26th every year marks the implementation of the Indian Constitution which was formulated in 1950. The Students put up a variety entertainment program which included skits, dances and songs which showed India's development and Prosperity in fields of science, technology and medicine. The students addressed current problems namely Inequality, Corruption, Unemployment, Literacy. They took an oath to do their best to make India march towards Progress, Unity & Prosperity.
View PhotoOn the 14th of November, We celebrated Children's Day at St. Joseph's. The Program began with a prayer song and a special dance by the Teachers. The children were thrilled to see their teachers perform for them. They cheered for their teachers and the hall resonated with great love and enthusiasm.The school Management organised various fun activities for the children to keep them entertained.They enjoyed playing on the Trampoline, Jumping Jack and danced to the beats of the D.J. They were also entertained by a Fascinating magic show which kept them all spell bound.
View PhotoAs India nears its 77th Independence Day, the spirit of freedom and patriotism resonated through the corridors of St. Joseph’s and our country. On this momentous occasion our children presented speeches, cultural dances.There was also a fancy dress parade of our freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya tilak, Dr. Ambedkar, Rani of Jhansi, Dadabhai Naoroji, Jawaharlal Nehru. Our Classrooms were decorated with hues of saffron, green & white flags. Children sang the National Anthem with great pride and honour, while Our Principal unfurled the flag.

At St. Joseph’s Convent our children exhibited their skills, talents in acting and dancing to the tunes of " We are the World, Heal the World, Together we can change". Our Chief Guest was Miss Jemimah Rodrigues an ex-student of the school- who has excelled in the Indian Cricket team and has been victorious at the International cricket Level.

The students of Std 1 & 2 went to 'FUNKY MONKEY' a world class indoor play center offering hands on discovery and learning through spontaneous play. The students of Std. 3 & 4 were taken to 'KID ZANIA'. It is a global indoor theme park, empowering, inspiring and educating children through real role-playing activities. Children play the roles of a master chef, Pilot, Banker, driver etc. It allows children to play the role of a community helper by mimicking real life occupations.

To rejoice at the birth of our lord Jesus Christ, the Primary children presented skits, dances, Christmas carols depicting the nativity of our Lord. The children of std III & IV visited the Emilie Care Centre, a home for retired sisters and sang Christmas carols and entertained them bringing joy & happiness to them. Our primary choir song O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It was truly a fun filled day.

It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the environment in which we all live. The students of St. Joseph's Convent Primary school, have made efforts to create awareness and bring a change in the environment by carrying out activities in the World Creation Month from 1st September to 4th October 2024. Here the children created posters on the topics 'Reduce,Reuse,Recycle' , 'Save Water', 'Clean Planet,Green Planet' etc. The Children stood outside the school campus with their posters in the company of their teacher and the headmistress, making people aware on the environmental issue.
